The new generation 3 Series has many small improvements over the previous model all combining to make a brilliant all-rounder of a car. 

The new model is 50kg lighter and has had its chassis stiffened, which has helped dramatically with how the car handles overall. It’s nippy around town but comfortable too, able to soak up any bums or potholes well, and on the open twisty roads the new stiffness makes the 3 series far more agile and responsive than in previous versions.

The new 3 series retains its classic shape but has adopted a new grille and LED lights at the front, and at the rear, BMW show off their new 3d two-tone tail lamps. 

On the inside the cabin is modern and conservative with the familiar driver focused layout. BMW has used high quality materials throughout, giving that executive feel, whilst bringing the cabin alive with silver brightwork on the dashboard and centre console. 

The driver has a choice of a half digital display on SE and Sport models, with M Sport and above getting a boost of a 12” digital drivers display, combined with a 10" iDrive infotainment system (9" on SE and Sport).
